I took the HDD out of the laptop and connected it as an external through USB to my desktop. it would eventually load the Recovery, but no input was recognized (you could select between the two options before it automatically selected Recovery, but couldn't do anything once IN Recovery). The original Vista error was the dreaded two option menu, one being Recovery. ![]()
